Welcome to Sacramento Valley Prospects. This is a grassroots level basketball scouting evaluation report website dedicated to covering the Sacramento Valley region of Northern California. My hope is that visitors of this site will read, comment and enjoy reading about the Sacramento Valley's rising basketball prospects and basketball programs whether they are natives of the region or general visitors who enjoy the grassroots level of basketball(High school and below). The Sacramento region has had a long history of producing considerable basketball talent on the 3 "primary" levels of American basketball(high school, collegiate, professional), such as former NBA All Star and current Sacramento Mayor-elect Kevin Johnson(Sacramento high) of the Phoenix Suns and 3 time NBA world champion Bill Cartwright(Elk Grove high) of the Chicago Bulls. Despite producing talent, the Sacramento region has been consistently ignored by national and even regional basketball evaluators from the collegiate level and below. While the Greater Los Angeles and San Francisco Bay Areas are regarded as the dominant hoops hotbeds for the state of California and do produce national and world class players consistently, they are not the only regions of the state that deserve recognition. Sacramento has produced enough talent at a steady rate to garnish respect from fans, coaches and observers local and abroad. This site is here to provide basketball fans with current knowledge of the region's stars of tomorrow. Enjoy!
